I took a trip down to Tucson to visit Frank Rete's Goanna Ranch.  He had the most amazing collection of varanids!  He also has an eirie knack for finding herps in the wild.	Pilbara rock monitors (Varanus pilbarensis) were stunning.	Frank also had a very lonely perentie (Varanus giganteus) female.	He also had some great ackies.	This sand goanna (Varanus flavirufus) would respond to commands to hold still.
