Coastal Carpet Python (Morelia Spilotes mcdoweli)

Coastal carpet pythons (Morelia spilotes mcdoweli) are another awesome carpet python.  They get larger than most of the spilotes subspecies and make for an impressive python species.  The jaguar coastal is a relatively new coastal morph.  We were lucky to aquire a nice red jaguar, Napoleon, from Cori Nguyen, who produced him from a nice jaguar coastal female bred to a red morph coastal carpet.  The red morph father is a red morph coastal from the Madame Blueberry line, owned by Will Leary of Reptilicus reptiles.  Here is the earliest picture of Napoleon available, right as his mother was laying the clutch he came from.
We also have some great females to go with him that are pictured below.  Coastal carpets are hardy snakes in captivity, and generally do very well.  We are excited at the possibilities with the jaguar combinations.  It seems like a new jaguar pattern or color varient pops up frequently, so there are limitless possibilities to the coastal projects.  Whoever has seen the super hypo jags or the mandarin jags can attest to the beauty and variability of this morph.  We are definately addicted.  Morelias rule!

Here is our red jag coastal male, Napoleon.  He will be the center of our coastal project, and we can't wait to see how he'll turn out.  More pictures will be added as he grows, most of which can be found on the What's New page.  Jags are living art, and Napoleon is no exception.  Click on thumbnails for bigger view.

Here is a normal female coastal and a hatchling from another female that hatched in the summer of '05.  We have 2 female coastals pictured below, and will likely be adding more coastal females to our project.
