Knob-tail geckos have got to be one of the coolest looking geckos in the world.  Their huge eyes and knob-ended tail give them an outerworldly look.  These scrappy geckos are as animated as it gets and will exhibit some entertaining behavior.  Their great personalities and beautiful patterns make these one of the most popular geckos in herpetoculture.  I dare you to resist their charm. 

    We have thinned down our collection, and are working only with a striped line of levis.  We have a beautifully striped female and a male that is het for stripe.  Originally striping in levis was thought to be a co-dominant trait, but breeding this striped girl to normal males has not produced any stripes.  Others have reported similar results.  We kept back a male produced by the striped female bred to a very nice red male, and we are hoping that we will see stripes in clutches produced from this pairing.  Below are pictures of the male and female in our stripe project and a typical hatchling.
